BRING YOUR OWN HORSE/S With 2000 acres and some 35km of internal game and ranch trails and roads to explore there can be no better adventure for you and your horse than staying with us at Thaba Manzi Ranch. Visit with us for a weekend or a week and your mounts will be accommodated in our spacious guest paddocks and treated to complimentary ad-lib eragrostis that is grown right here on the ranch.                                            R80 per horse per night/day.

ONE HOUR TRAIL Check in at the stable yard office where riders are paired with their mounts. Aimed at those with little or no experience we ride to the foot of the mountains where we visit the Boer War gravesite. Riding on, we pass the second largest waterhole on the ranch and we then make our way back to the homestead across the plains past hartebeest, blesbuck and ostriches.                                       R150 per person.

ONE AND A HALF HOUR TRAIL After taking the same route as the one hour trail we continue higher into the mountains stopping along the way at spectacular viewing points. We pass through bushveld trails where we may be fortunate to encounter the giraffe, nyala or impala before returning to the homestead via the plains, taking time to say howdy to our Nguni cattle.                                                                       R200 per person.

TWO HOUR TRAIL This trail is for experienced riders only and allows us to truly explore the bushveld, the plains and high into the mountain slopes. There are opportunities for exhilarating canters and leisurely trots as well as steeper ascents and descents. Depending on the mood of the group, this trail also stops off at more viewpoints and lingers longer when coming upon game.                                                                  R250 per person.

HORSE CART AND CARRIAGE TRAILS For a truly unique experience why not hop aboard one of our carriage or hay rides through the ranch and game park drawn by Tom and Harry our matching Percherons.                                                                  R80 per person.
